Crazy Crafters August 2015 Blog Hop

Welcome to the Crazy Crafters Blog for August. This month we are excited to show off some of the amazing bundles available in the just released 2015-2016 Annual Catalogue. We hope you find great inspiration from the projects...

You may just be starting the blog hop here at my blog - Sara Evans, or may have come from the person previous to me in the list. If you get off track at any time, the full line-up below will help you move along from blog to blog so you see all the projects.

Here are my cards inspired by the butterfly basics and butterflies thinlits bundle...

My favourite is this 3D layered card. To create the two tone flower I used sponge daubers to daub touches of watermelon wonder and mossy meadow classic stampin' ink directly to the stamp before stamping the image on whisper white cardstock. I then fussy cut the image.  And I love the large butterflies thinlit on the silver glimmer paper...

My next card includes a few different techniques to build up the image.   First I embossed the ferns using my versa mark stamp pad and silver stampin' emboss powder (not forgetting to rub my embossing buddy across the paper beforehand to prevent extra powder or glitter from sticking to the card). I then sponged on some colour, using smoky slate classic stampin' ink before I added some more ferns in the same colour (I stamped off a few first).  And for the finishing touch, some bling!

For my last card I used my new aqua painters on some shimmery white paper. I love this clean and simple design, with the happy birthday salutation embossed in black.

Thanks for taking part in our blog hop, there are so many amazing ideas and inspiration you don't want to miss. Remember that currently you are at my blog - Sara Evans, so check the blog hop line up list to see who is next in the list.
